Technical Information

Molday LION  Rhodamine B is also an ultrasmall mixed ferrite iron oxide-based superparamagnetic contrast agent having a colloidal size of 50 nm.  The core crystal is europium-doped magnetite surrounded by a cross-linked dextran to which a fluorescent dye, rhodamine B, is attached.  This agent can be visualized by MRI, fluorescence and quantified by neutron activation (via BioPAL's short enhanced assay service).  For fluorescence, the rhodamine B label excitation wavelengh is 555 nm and the emission is 565-620 nm.  Molday LION can be supplied with alternative fluorescent dyes.  Please inquire.
